My birthday was on Saturday. We woke up that morning (the day after Grant's accident) and Grant was acting perfectly normal, which was such a relief. He was playing, babbling on and on, and acting happier than he's acted in probably a week (since he's had a virus and has been fussy in general). This was the greatest birthday present I could ever have wanted! We went to a nearby donut shop for breakfast, and Dean even took me to Exxon to get my gas station coffee/cappucino fix. Nothing like gourmet coffee for your birthday!!
Dean mowed our new lawn for the first time, then we all got dressed and went up into town for a few hours. We had lunch at Texadelphia and found a nice cabinet where we'll put all of our electronics stuff once our new big-screen TV arrives next week (more about that later).
We came home and watched football for the rest of the evening. Grant did get a little fussy and ended up going to bed at around 7:30pm. And unfortunately, the Tide couldn't pull off a win in overtime over Georgia. Oh well!!
Here's Grant checking out this other kid at Texadelphia. This little kid just stood there and talked to himself, on and on. I think Grant thought he was pretty peculiar, just like we did! Grant and Daddy in their Alabama gear:
